Lobbed Pass (X + X / A + A)

Low Cross (Square + Square / X + X)

When passing the ball into the opponent’s box, you can double-tap the Lob Pass button to perform a low-range cross.

Through Pass

A through pass enables your offensive players to get the ball beyond defenders by traveling through an open space — which the game was shot.

Threaded Through Pass (R1 + square / RB + Y)

Through passes are more straight and allow the ball to bounce, which gives your passing more perspective.

Driven Ground Pass (R1 + X / RB + A)

This is a ground pass that is powered and faster than a standard ground pass. Pass receivers need to exert more effort to control this type of pass due to its higher accuracy.

Lofted Ground Pass

The lofted or short ground pass is designed to avoid interceptions by defenders by flying low and close to the ground.

Lofted Through Pass

It is a pass that goes straight and lets the ball bounce so that it gives perspective to your pass.

Lobbed Through Pass

It is a combination of a through ball and lob pass that goes over the head of your opponent’s defender.

Driven Lobbed Through Pass

A lobbed-through pass is straighter, and the ball bounces so it adds more perspective to your pass

Driven Lob Pass / Driven Cross

The power and pace of a lob pass are higher than a ground pass.

High Lob (L1 + square / LB + X)

You can use a  high lob pass with more height when your strikers are tall to bypass your opponent’s defenders and goalkeeper.

Flair Pass

This ground pass is less accurate than Driven Passes, but it is more powerful.

Flair Lob

Here, more height is gained by passing a fair lob than a high lob.

How to Pass with Style on FIFA 22

Let’s start with the easiest style pass, which is the normal flare pass. All you have to do on the PlayStation is press the L2 key and then the pass button. On Xbox, you just have to hold L2 and then press the pass button. Of course, while the ball is in the air, you can also press the pass button while you are holding L2. You just have to make sure you don’t place too many bars on it.
